Default V5 STI intercooler

i just wanna clean it up abit, would i light coat of silver be ok over the fins?

and would it need to be high temp paint?

Yeah, a light coating (just enough for full coverage but without excess) should be fine.

It prob won't make too much difference whether you use normal or VHT, as it's only the very surface fins that are being painted i.e. they make up a tiny percentage of the core's overall surface area.

That said though, you may as well use normal paint, as the VHT stuff can only be more of a heat insulator, which you DON'T want when it comes to heat exchanging radiators/intercoolers!
