Default Ecu reset on 2003 sti uk

How do you reset the ecu on a 2003 sti uk, I've tried searching but all i could find is how to reset the classics with the wires under the steering wheel, is it the same on the blobeye impreza?

Anybody? Thanks ian

Think you need software/cable to reset it. Theres a program called ecuexplorer which is free to download, but then you need a OBDII cable IIRC.

Look on scoobypedia, theres full instructions.

you can't do it fully without equipment.. you can clear some of the learnt data via battery disconnected.

but the ecu relearns very quickly so there should really be no need to reset it unlike the early classics etc
