Default vf22 turbo

i know this has been up before.
but i may be thinking of changing mt td05 for a quicker spoiling turbo.

as im getting a lot of lag.
does anyone know if the vf22 spoils quicker?
or even the vf 34?

im not after it to be really more power full than the td05. just quicker spoiling. to get rid of some of the lag im getting

IIR the vf22 is a bit laggy. Ive read the vf24 is better. Mine is a vf24 and boost from about 3000rpm.

There are a couple on the market that spool from 2k. Camskills list a few and their characteristics.

The VF22 is probably the biggest of the VF series turbo's, my car has a hybrid of some sort fitted (vf22 housing) though seeing i have not had the car that long i have not had chance (because i want the car checked out and anything corrected) before i open her up

thanks for that

looks like the better, really is the vf34 then.
not as much power as the 22, but spoils a lot quicker.

and would give a good run against the td05
well, i'll see what this mapping issue does first before i go ahead

thanks guys

My td05 with ported headers and decat was up to max target boost by about 3,100 rpm what revs is max boost coming in at ,do you have a boost gauge ?sounds like there is a problem .
The td05 is a cracking turbo !

VF22 is poor on 2 litre engine and nothing really happens until 4k revs and also are pretty fragile, they have a habit of breaking blades above 1.4 bar. My personal choice would be the VF34 solid turbo that makes good power.
