Default Air lock?

I have changed radiator on impreza 1995 uk car, the car is still overheating.
I think i have air lock, would this explain why the car is still overheating? If so can someone please tell me how to get rid of it.
Would be gratefull for any info.

right what you need to do is (with the engine off) fill up the header tank a few times until the level stays at the top, then start the engine and let it run until its at the normal running temp on the water gauge on your dash. Then give it revs upto 3-4k for 30 sec bursts every minute or so. You will see air bubbles and it will over spill out of your header tank but dont worry that is normal. Every so often check the level in the header tank and top up if needed- give half inch from the rim as max level. It takes roughly 30-40mins to insure no air is remaining and dont forget to add anti freeze.

Try to refill using the water return pipe on the turbo, this helps minimise air locks after a flush through.
