Default need lots of advice

i have a japanese import 2001 impreza with a 1.6L motor. i want to change the motor to the 2,0L turbo wrx motor. wat is the best way to go about this and what r the main things that i need to look out for. im also trying to find out wat other components i'll have to change and will i have to convert my front wheel drive to awd. will i have to change the ecm and the wiring harnes, steering column, brakes drive shafts gearbox. i am a mechanic by trade but only work on heavy vehicles, so i was wondering if it is advisable to do it myself or seek professional help to do it for me?

wouldnt it be easier and cheaper to just sell it and buy a WRX?

id imagne the work involved in converting to 4wd would be immense, never mind the rest of it.

It's a big job, and not to be underestimated

As above - sell it, and buy a turbo variant - far simpler and much more stress free

As above just sell and buy a turbo , not worth the major hassel and time trying to get a non turbo to turbo spec you would basically have to rebuild the whole car spending a fortune , and your car at the end would not be worth the same as a turbo . Waste of money in my eyes there are so many turbos to choose from .
