Youll also need a walbro fuel pump and expect to see around 270-280bhp with similar torque.
Expect to pay around the £600 mark for mapping. After that its around £200 for another remap from the same place. It is worth it.

All you will need is a decat exhaust system, that mapped should get you into the 270bhp area, you dont need a fuel pump at this level but the top mounted intercooler will help a little
If you want to go a bit further, some samco hoses are a good investment, and a DRY air filter, not an oiled one.

Wink

In the early days they were getting nicely into the 300's before the injector cycle was pushing the limit (and the standard pump was coping to over 300bhp) think i shall stick with what we learnt long ago, and you still dont need a fuel pump upgrade on an my99/00

crikey thast a bit cheeky from andy, no way a remap for a standard td04'd car needs a fuel pump unless the origional is starting to wimp out due to age (when its then worth uprating it due to cost). Also notice theres no mention of a uk car being at the limit at about 350. not impressed has to be said

before the map i'd have the following

Full decat
pannel filter (not essential but for £40 and fresh filter worth having it)

then the remap

possibly might need to change the sparkers, but again depends on age and condition.

mine did this on full decat, pannel filter and remap, 258bhp and 280ftlb

the standard pump is fine.. but the walbro is so cheap and easy to change it is worth just doing it, as you never know the condition of the old one in there.
