Question Tuning help needed.....

Hi

I currently have an 02 WRX Bug eye and am wanting to get more power out of it. I am hoping for between 260 - 300 bhp, more if possible ?

Can you tell me what the best way of doing this is, without spending thousands. I have about 800 budget........

Or should I just get it 'chipped'? If so - does anyone know where is best for this? I am based in West Yorkshire, but willing to travel ( within reason ).

All help much appreciated.

Chris.

decent exhaust, fuel pump and a remap will get you in that ball park, could do it for that budget if you go for a non licensed remap, and pick up 2nd hand prodrive exhaust parts, and a new walbro fuel pump.

What do you mean by a non licensed remap? Sadly I aint technically minded when it comes to cars lol.

I already have a performance exhaust on the car which was on their when i got it. I believe it is a straight through system ( bar the cat at the front......? )

260hp is around the top limit of the OE Td04 turbo. Some say 280, but that would be with all supporting mods and a friendly RR

Maybe stretching your budget, but a VF35 and a set of injectors form an STi, along with a decent air filter element, de-cat exhaust and a re-map will see you at 330ish..

Try getting in touch with Scoobyteknix in Fleetwood.

Oh come on, the PPP managed more than that, 280 is fairly normal, 300 takes a lot of mods but is just doable!

So - Does anyone have any recomendations on where to get a remap around the Yorkshire area?

Or anyone on here fancy doing it?

As said previously - I have a performance exhaust on the car - but just want more power from the engine.

Get Jolly Green Monster (user on here) to do it. He'll come to your house.

Cool So how do I get hold of him? I'm a little new to the forum.

Any ideas on the cost also?

Thanks for all the advice.

Chris.
