fuel pump on 04 sti

The 04 STi has a standard Subaru fuel pump, funnily enough.
Nothing special and from what I can see it is the same as the WRX. I guess they are good to the low 300 bhp mark but after that, subject to what your BHP aspirations are you should fit a Walbro GS 342 255 lph unit.
On Classic cars, then obviously the fuel pump is that much older and could be tired, particularly on older Classics so as mods begin it is best to replace the fuel pump at the start. GS341 for the Classic.
At £75 for either and both easy to fit, it is not a lot to lay out for added safety and peace of mind.
