Geometry/alignment help
I need help with improving alignment and handling on my classic Sti Wagen.
Straight line and moderate to low speed (20 -45ish) driving the car has a vague feeling like it is floating about a centre pivot if that makes sense. Faster speed is OK and once committed in a bend it is fine.
I have had the alignment carried out, but before going back again I want to be up on the specs.
Trawling the thread history on alignment there seems no consensus on what makes for good, reliable and fun settings.
Prodrive: max out the -ve camber up front and slight (1mm) toe-in all round, which seems to have its fans and also decenters.
Whiteline: rear toe-OUT and front straight.
SIDC: Front toe 0 +- 3mm and camber front 0 deg and rear -1deg
Powerstation: No information available here, but most feedback is positive.
The factory settings universally seem to give 'poor' results
So, all I would like is feedback or experience on what I should be aiming for. I don't do much motorway and don't late brake or drive on the doorhandles if that helps any
Any feedback greatly appreciated
Cheers
