Question front mount

can i run a fmic with out it being mapped to my car,would it cause any damage to my car if i was to fit it. seen a autobahn88 for my clasic for 240 quid is this a good price ,steven

when i fitted one to mine i did run it prior to remap as i still had other mods to fit before the mapping.

all i did was connect the small pipe from turbo compressor housing directly to the wastegate actuator so boost pressure is restricted if you did forget and floor the loud pedal.

It would prob, run a lil lean and could boost a bit early ...

When i had mine fitted i try'd it .. for a week .. but she didnt like it .. so had to have her tweak'd..

Ran a FMIC on my Bugeye for 2 years prior to tuning. The FMIC cooling the air more so it is slightly denser will be within the scope of the ECU I would have thought.

definatly not running lean judging by the smell of v-power and the flames an pops out the back end

It could make your engine run lean, which can damage your engine, always better to be safe and get it mapped.. some people have run with out a map ..up to you matie.

i live in germany so that creates a bit of a small problem getting it mapped

can you get it on a dyno?

get the afr checked and you'll know for sure. i know a couple of poeple who did get away with it, but then i also know a couple whos afr's were rather on the dangerous side of the line, so its a suck it and see i think.

as far as performance goes, you'll only get the best results when its mapped, also some folks complain of lag till the map is set up for it

cool il have to see about getting my car back to the uk or maby getting a mapper over here i no scoobysmiff will need one soon so ill chat to him and see if hes going back to the uk or flying one over
