I would give a run with the one thats on there for a while, See how the car feels, See how it sounds then decide if its something you want to change.
If you are after a bit of noise and sensible price look at HKS or Baileys.

DON'T DO IT !!!!!!!!!
The reason why no-one has replied Spinking 1 is because;
1: Every newbie asked the same question. ( including me )
2: Every newbie post links to a guy called Ken Block. ( except me, couldn't work out how to do it )
Once you find your feet, it's a top forum.
Welcome..........

Welcome friend!
Ive been reading about this also but not yet took the plunge.
people are saying there are no benifits from have a DV, only draw backs. However the non tangable benifits i can see is... sounds cool, and may give some pops n flames.
Im told however it does this because the MAF has recorded an air flow which gets dumped instead of put into the engine so everything is off in the engine.
However you can get dual port DV's. you adjust at what boost you want the pshh. below that limit it recircs as normal, and when you giving it the boot, it goes pssh.. i think this is the option i will go for.
Apart from the pops i believe it can make lifting off the throttle more brutal.
Seems to be a hung jury. I guess if you want one get one, if you dont like it take it off and sell it on here or ebay.
Im not sure if a remap can make the effects of the DV less harsh on the engine?
As i say, this is all stuff ive read/heard on here so may not be accurate.

nice scoob cmasterscoob friend!
very smart not over the top like most around my way.
just a bit wary about messing too much with it as its not been touched in any way and its mint, last thing i want to do is do something that i'll regret and make me hate it!
thanks to everyone who has replied to my post

One More.
I hear if you have a strong turbo, td05 or vf34 you can run without a dv/recirc so you get the, i think its called, gerbils in the blender sound
I think dv's are a very easy job to change, so give it a go.
Aside some useless posts there are some very knowledgeable people on this forum. I cant imagine there is anything about scoobs that someone on here doesnt know.
Good luck with whatever you choose

The don't do it was for both.
But that was the very sound advice the non-chavs gave me when I started.
For a bit of whoooosssshhhh, hisssss , and fart, it could seriously hurt your car.
To be honest, spend your hard earned on better non obtrusive mods.
Choice is yours SpinKing......
