Default Working launch control on 1993-1996 ECU

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I was able to get launch control working on a Z5 ECU (1995 WRX RA), I know for sure the same code will work on a Z4 ECU. If anyone is interested in the details, you can check the thread I've put up on subiesmart.com. Launch control for 1993 to 1996 Impreza WRX

is this 'proper' launch?

is this just a stationary rev limiter? have the timing tables been altered also for 2-step?

Well I would classify it as a proper launch control, it's not just a stationary rev limit.

You get the ratatat sound plus I get about 0.3bar boost. I will post a video of it when I find a quiet road without anyone to annoy.

I didn't alter any timing tables, I just initiate a hard fuel cut when the launch control RPM is hit.

think you need more than 0.3 bar to clasify launch....or to make it worth while......you should look into altering timing/fuel tables.

I think the amount of boost can be increased by altering how much the timing is retarded when the rev limit is hit. I don't know where that parameter is so I haven't experimented with that.

Also I'm testing this on a TD05, I suspect with an earlier spooling turbo, more boost will be built. I will test it on a car with a VF11 sometime in the next 2 weeks.
