What's the std turbo? Is it a VF43? Think you can get 380 out of them .

Would have recommended a TD05H 20G, but I think that produces similar max bhp to your OEM job.

I think a MD321H will get you easily over 400.

Then you've got the progessively larger MD321T, MD321T+ and MD321V.

There're also FP Green and Red which are, allegedly, fine alternatives to the MD series.

Ot you can go rotated with huge GT30, GT35 jobs for 600-odd bhp capability...

You'll have to do a search for all their respective spool times/flow capabilities/bhp potential, etc...

I had 370 BHP out of my standard vf35 on my05 sti I now have a MD321T+ fitted, not laggy in my opinion by getting the full push in the back fealing by about 3600 - 3700 rpm.
I was lucky enough to get 1 bar of boost by 3100 rpm and full boost at 1.65bar by 3300 rpm in 4th gear, but I have always been lucky with the way my turbos have responded.

Question

G.Mac, do you know what the max bhp potential is of the H, T, T+ and V - on a 2.0L block and non-AVCS heads? And prices, etc.?

Not sure, I think on normal road fuel the T is good for mid 400's the T+ is good for about 20 - 30bhp more and dont know about the H. Mark at Lateral told me that the V wouldnt be suitable on a 2L.
I paid about £1550 delivered for my T+ but I got mine just before Mark had to put his prices up again due to the exhange rates so might be a little more expensive now.
The T+ also comes with a 3" inlet so you will need to change your intake elbow as well as standard it is 2.5"

Power figures are all dependant on what supporting mods you have and how much boost your engine is able to handle.
I have been very lucky the way my car has responded to its modifications and those were the words of AndyF. As far as im aware my car is the first to have a T+ fitted (to a 2L) and both Andy and Mark were very supprised at my spool up figures as they were better than alot of cars fitted with a T and even an H in some cases. Andy was saying for people not to take my figures as gospel to where they should expext the same turbo to spool up on their car as historicaly mine has always made better figures over most other cars with the same mods (Im not wanting to come over all big headed but I have just been lucky) again I also have AVCS heads fitted which also aid spool up
Not wanting to sound like a sales rep for Lateral but I dont think you will be dissapointed by whatever MD series of turbo you choose if you go down the MD route.

You are best to give Mark at Lateral a phone, he is very helpfull and will have no problems answering any questions you have

Graeme

Yeah, members/specialsits do seem to like 'em as they consistently deliver the goods

Not necessarily the cheapest, but once purchased, then...

Hello there im pretty sure that the MD series of turbo are built to Mark at Lateral Performance's specifications. I know Andy Forrest sells the H but I think he gets them through Mark but im not sure and could be wrong.

Dont think an MD555 has been tried on a stadard internal STi as yet.

Give Martyn at Alan Jeffery - Engine Tuner a ring.
