Default petrol consumption please advise - STI 6 gear or WRX 5 gear

Hi Lads going to do a lot of motorway miles, is there anyone with a 2001 STI can you tell me if the 6th gear makes a difference on motorways got about 300BHP in the one i want..

Or other alternative is a pretty standard wrx 2001 5 speed..

Does any one think there is a great deal of difference in economy!

Cheers In advance guys

well, fuel economy and scoobys dont mix lol. but id say the 6 gear would make a slight difference, 3-5mpg.

I shall start again
STI = more fuel used
WRX = less fuel used
gearbox fitted to standard car = no difference
