Are the 06 Hawkeye STI struts the same as the 05 STI? (they are both 114.3)

I ask this because again i'm hearing the 'knock' (3rd scoob - 3rd time!!)

Seen some struts from a hawkeye for sale wondered if they were the same?

Had that problem myself mate, check the colour of the struts if they are red then yes they are the same, if black subaru told me they had upgraded them due to a damper fault in the red STI shocksRegardsNeil 06 2.5 WRX PPP

The ones off the hawkeye are black

The ones on my blobeye are also black

Had the same problem with mine, knock was driving me insane.
Followed the advice on here and stripped the struts down and re greased etc.
Knock gone, only took about an hour to do both.
Soooooooo happy. Do it!

 

Get coilovers and forget about this issue forever
