Default Oil temp?

Just fitted an oil temp gauge and was wondering what temp it is supposed to be reading? It hardly rises above 50c

Take the sensor out, borrow the kettle and use an extension lead.... drop sensor in kettle and boil !

Check reading is 100 degrees - may need an earth cable from sensor body to the car body !

Replace sensor, buy new kettle !

HTH

P.S. Normal running temp is 92 degrees for mine, anywhere from 70 mph, to a little bit more

What gauge is it? Defi's start at 50 and take a while to get warm depending on the driving.
