Default Misfire - ECU?

Evening Guys.

I have a probelm with my car that has me in two minds. Let me explain.

I purchased a fresh import 1996 sti V3 from a local garage through a friend. I had the car for a month and it developed a boost probelm. The car was overboosting. This got fixed as it was still under warranty. But then it came back, So I gave the car back to the garage around December, and just before Christmas the chap there phoned me and said that he has fixed the boost problem but the car is misfiring at 6000 rpm.
Now this guy has had my car since and has had countless people look at it and cant seem to fix it. There seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel.

Can anybody shed any light on this as im not sure whether to demand my money back as the car is absolutely mint other this problem.

Or, are there any specialist you can recommend to me as the car is drivable and im willing to tavel to fix it off my back. I live near Gatwick

Sorry for the essay, just to give you a bit of background about the car.

Many thanks

Dan

You could try booking it into Surrey Rolling Road. JGM uses them for mapping cars. Using their rollers, will help them help you diagnose ths issue...
