Default WARNING LIGHT

Warning light came on last night, the book says it's the Malfunction indicator lamp (Check engine light) possibly a problem with the emission control system. Has anyone any idea what the problem might be? Cheers.

I'll get the garage to check it this week, hopefully not costing too much!

When the CEL lights up a code is stored on the ECU. Subaru dealers read the code with their "select monitor" to diagnose the problem. Some dealers read the code for free and some charge (usually about 30 quid).

For the list of codes google "OBD II codes" .

Glad it's sorted Temp sensor is one of the cheaper subaru sensors Unlike the front lambda sensor or the ICVS LOL
