sorry if in wrong section didn`t know where to put this . basically im wanting my 1995 classic wrx to be a bit quicker. what would be good engine mods without spending serious amounts of cash ? at the moment its pretty standard except from a dump valve and exhaust system with de-cat. thanks in advance.

Well, you've got the main thing done: decat downpipe and rest of system.
I reommend selling on the after market dv and refitting the OEM plastic recirc one (plenty on eBay). Possibly fit a uprated panel filter - stick to Apexi, K&N or Green IMO. Or just fit a nice new OEM paper job.
Then get a Walbro 255l/h fuel pump and a set of one-level colder NGK PFR7B plugs.
You're now in a good position to get a 2nd hand Apexi Power FC - on it's own (or with Commander).
Then get it all mapped by Andy Forrest Performance (E. Lothian)
Prices:-
- DV £10-15 (sell on other one)
- Panel filter £25-40
- Walbro <£80
- PFR7B (x4) £25
- PFC £200-250 (plus Commander £350)
- Andy F PFC remap <£300 (?)
It'll get mapped at 1.15bar (16.67psi) of boost for about 280bhp/280lb ft. But the difference in drivability/thriottle response is night and day = BIIIG GRIN
