Default Removing heads - What size bolts are they?

Hi all,

Just stripping an old engine off flea-bay to see how they go together, and consequently to see if I have the technical ability to build a forged 2.0 ltr for my own car.

I am just about to remove the heads - and as title really, what size are the 6 bolts holding the heads to the block - are they 'normal' bi hex or are they 'star' bolts or something else?? Thought i'd check before I damage them!!

Thanks in advance.

They're 12 sided (bi-hex?) i.e. like a normal socket is. 12 or 14mm, one or the other. Reusable if you're planning on it, they're not stretch bolts.
