Default rounded off a nut

hi all

Anyone suggest a way to loosen a nut on the strut top?
I was about to fit a strut brace to the front of the car an my socket has rounded off one of the nuts
Id sprayed it with wd40 a coupla hours before hand.

You are lucky, as its a very accessible place to round one off.
Either invest in a nut splitter nut splitter, Cars, Parts Vehicles, Business, Office Industrial, Home Garden items at low prices on eBay.co.uk

Or chisel it off!

TBH, if you can't get one off them soon, you could also use a hacksaw to cut it off. Again, only because its in such a good position.

Next I suppose you will want a replacement nut? I suppose someone on here knows the type, if you do please say, as I want to swap my rusty ones for some nice new ones

Try banging a smaller size impact socket over it, usually works.

This will be the best tool you could ever buy! They never let you down will undo an almost completely rounded bolt.

I'll also vote for Irwin bolt grippers, especially where there's no room for a splitter.
