Default Nightmares / SUBARU WRX/HELP ??????

Q: BOUGHT MX56*** SUBARU WRX( 2.5) @ £8750 - 36k silver

For as long as I can remember I always wanted a SUBARU
Having nightmares ( I know its only a car !! )

I wasnt aware it was import ( Cyprus )

Q: How much is the vehicle actually worth ( Import V UK supplied ) ?

Vehicle was described as 1 Owner/Unmolested - Turns out I could be OWNER 4 and its had more paint than Blackpool tower

Going back to the gArAgE - Sat A.M to politley discuss.

Rear light was full of condensation - On removal to "dry out " it was full of water which prompted the investigation to all the other problems - bodged repairs - Bodywork

Was told it had a Subaru warranty till SEPT 09 - Guess what it runs out in April 09 - When it will need MOT .

Dream turned into nightmare - Despite the above - Its PHENOMENAL

HOPE SOMEONE OUT THERE CAN HELP !!!! ?

Don't wish to be rude... but did you actually check the car over before you paid for it? it seems that you've found all the dodgy stuff - why didn't you do it BEFORE parting with your hard-earned - I don't get it

If I've got this wholly wrong , then please accept my apologies.

Not that what I am about to say will help much but generally with european import vehicles you will find that they are pre-registered which as in the case with my own Impreza on the log book I am the second owner but I had the car from new the first owner which is a company they pre-register it with had ownership of it for one day technically I was the first owner to actually drive it.

The rear light condensation seems to be a common fault with this model and theres not much you can do about it other than keeping them clean.

And if your car is a true 56 plate then your warranty should be valid till at least September '09. This is because the warrenty is worth 3 years and it starts when the car is registered in your case a 56 plate car would of been registered anytime between 1st September 2006 and 28th Feb 2007 this would go the same for your MOT it wont need a valid MOT till the date it was registered check your log book.

My advice would to have the car HPI checked you might think its expensive but in some cases could be the best £20 or £30 you will ever spend.

Best of luck
Dan

If it was bought from a garage then it's very different from buying from a private seller.......if the garage said it was a 1 owner and it has had 3 other owners then this is blatantly a lie and the vehicle had been mis-described and can be returned.

Imports can be brought into the UK without being pre-registered

Have you got a link to the car on the dealer website ??

Cheers

As said, you would of picked most of this up had you done a HPI check and looked more closely before you parted with the readies (live and learn;-)), £8750 is a lot to let go of
On the bright side though, as 'Midlife.....' say, if the vehicle is not as descibed/misrepresented and you aquired from a garage then the law is 'luckily' on your side.
Stand up on Saturday, there are some very 'nice' Scoobs out there for 9k
