Default Oil Leak Help

Hi,

I have an oil leak and i was hoping you could suggest what it is.

My opinions: Seems to be common for rocker cover gasket, Crank shaft oil seal, and by the look possible the wet pipe.

You can see the pipes its mainly dropping on one side of the manifold, however the sump has also a significant amount on it.

There is a drip on the pipe you can see, however its quite slow. Enough to annoy me tho.

Here are some pics.

So what do you think?

Be inclined to check the oil pump for leaks ( front seal or backing plate loose ) as the oil leak seems to be around the oil pump/front of the sump area.
Nothing to say its not coming from above that though - oil pressure switch, power steering pump etc.

Hi, my 95 turbo 200 has exactly the same leak with the same drip on the rubber pipe. I decided to replace crank oil seal and oil pump o ring. I am in the middle of doing it (late last night) and will let you know how i get on. Unfortunately whilst removing my timing belt the top right hand cam (as you look from the front of engine) sprung off its position. I am not sure which way it spun and am waiting to see if anyone answers my call for help as to what i do next.

O dear. I dont much fancy doing he crank oil seal. looks like a git of a job.

Yes let me know how you get on. I have a slight incline it might be the power steering pump possible. Just dont have any time to check! Bring on the light nights so i can get working after my 12 hours at work :S

Got some paper under the car now see if that shows anything up. overnight there has been zero drips. It seems the engine will need to be warm and so the oil less viscous to seep through wherever the leak is. But even then its only a slight leak.
