Default Cam sensor problem version 9 sti

guys my sti version 9 at high revs the engine light comes on and then goes back off. i checked what the fault was an it says cam sensor but ive changed both and i have no idea what it is. HELP PLEASE OR I MIGHT HAVE TO GET RID OF MY CAR

have you replaced the cam sensor with brand new ones or second hand sensors?

Getting rid of the car is a bit extreme - this isn't likely to be a huge issue, especially if the light goes out and the car is still running fine.

It was a common problem on earlier (2001-2002) cars that this error would get reported at high revs, for no real reason. Get it to a specialist to have a look, I'm assuming it's out of warranty?

well power station looked at it and couldn't work it out and ive changed both sensors with brand new ones. im still stuck what should i do next

i had a word with rich at power station and he said he cured the problem when he fitted the motec and the engine light was only coming on to tell me to shift gears. false alarm guys nice one for the help
