Default Newage exhausts......?

I'm looking to fit a second hand 3" turbo back stainless exhaust system to a 2006 Hawkeye STI. What are the fitment differences between an exhaust for a 2003,2004,2005 STI and the later Hawkeye model.
All manufacturers list different systems for the blobeye and hawkeye.
Is it easy/possible to make one fit and what if any are the differences ??

Was that downpipe, centre section and back box or just the centre and back sections ?

Why do the manufacturers list a different exhaust for each different model ?
