Default Sports Cat or De-cat

Currently running a sports cat on a 1995 WRX, but To be honest, i miss the sound of the de-cat on the scoobs.

I have heard that the import wont need a cat for the emissions test of the MOT.. is that right..

What would you guys do, leave the sports cat on or de-cat the beast?

I'd go de-cat if it would pass MOT - as mines a 2002 I need the sports cat to scraoe through - Sounds much better on the de-cat but can't be bothered swapping the exhaust for the test.

I'm about to decat my wrx, and read a thing on here that if its a import and before august 1995 it doesn't need a cat.

Same here matey. I would love to de-cat my car as I am running the RCM Team Ice system.

It would allow the burble noise more and also give me a few more horses. But I couldn't be arsed to mess around with changing to a cat every time the MOT is due. Not to mention the DVLA around the Heathrow area and running the risk of failing a road side test if carried out.

Yep. That'll be the standard centre cat from a UK model.
