loss of oil pressure :(
ok i need some help asap.
Have done a fully forged engine rebuild and EVERYTHING is new including a new RCM oil pump.
Got full operating oil pressure in the engine on Saturday night, then went back to it last night to start the run in process before mapping and the oil pressure light came on the dash.
Checked the oil feed to the turbo and no oil
I know the RCM oil pump has a modified plunger to stop it sticking but could this be the case that the plunger has stuck and just needs some lubing up?
What could have gone wrong? Could the new oil pump be faulty or could anyone think of anything else that could have happened. Really dont fancy having to take the engine back out and stripping it all back down again.
The block was fully degreased and power washed when i got it back form the machine shop to remove all swarf etc.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Did you start it, or just turn it over to get rid of the oil light first time?
Was the crank new or a re grind, as you need to fit the correctly re sized shells with a re grind. I've heard of people fitting standard shells to a re ground crank, and not getting good oil pressure for this reason.

just turned it over the first time to get rid of the oil light and make sure oil was through to the turbo feed line.
The started it and let it idle and the light stayed off.
The crank is brand new not a regrind and the bearings are standard size acl race bearings.
