Default What Induction Kit for 02 Bug eye ???

Engine in OE state of tune - liked the look of Blue Dragoons Zero Sport kit, what about HKS racing suction kit ?? previously had the HKS (green mushroom) kit, fancied a change for this car

I have a Perrin induction kit, it is supposed to be one of the best you can get.

I've had no CEL issues with it so it works for me!

Thanks for that - did you get it from TSL ? was it a self fit and I guess from your post that no re-programme was needed ?

Hi,

TSL do them but I ordered mine from the states, at the time it was half the price because of the strength of the pound.

I have had my car remapped eventually. but you can fit it and it will work fine without a remap.

Sorry to stun you about this, but I've now seen some on Flatfouronline site, did you go for the "Big Maf" intake, Cold Air Intake or Short Ram Intake ? the filters are red with Perrin stenciled on them, does that sound about right ? they're going for 155 to 258 depending on which one you go for

Big MAF will need re-map as it alters the airflow over the MAF sensor, so it runs weak and the engine melts....

Honest !

As dunx said, Big MAF will need a remap, I have the short ram intake.

Prepare to wait a while though if you buy from flat4online, i bought a few things from there that took ages to arrive!!

TSL are probably your best bet.

i alos had a perrin short ram on my car sounds really well and is loud like a dump valve and when going up the revs you can hear is sucking air in, the short ram doesnt need a remap, big maf and cold air intake will need mapped. took it off as it gets dirty easy and the foam filter doesnt last long in my opinion i wouldnt waste the money on one, plus hks is the same not worth money do not last long and filter will need replaced in no time. just ordered an apexi air filter

go for somthing like k&n, apexi, aps, go for dry filter and will not wreck the maf stay away from spongy foam filters they are waste money and dont last long

Thanks Guys - Did you order an Apexi Induction kit or replacement for airbox ? I have experience of K&N 57i, I think it was, on my old '95 JDM WRX and HKS Superflow on my old '02 UK STi - I need something that won't need a remap for now and works !
