also looking at your car for sale and its spec, etc..

i very much doubt your going to leave your scooby standard and are going to want power mods etc.. so i'd personally only take an sti as a part ex, possibly one with an engine rebuild or under 100k miles which has had belts done, plus service at least every 5k miles and limit power to below 350bhp if on the standard subaru engine. that wya you should get a decent one along with the sti classic extras which will all go well if you plan on modding, you have the best base

I generally find that any car offered for a swap is one no-one wants. It's just how it is - 99% of people would want the cash to go looking for the replacement.

Therefore, you need to be extra careful .... but, it could be that these owners really do want to swap for all the right reasons.

I, personally, would be wary of Mods. with the exception of a backbox ... check all the VIN Numbers against the docs., check service history and who did it/when is next service due? How many owners? How long has owner owned it?

If it drives well and you like it then it should be ok - these are pretty bulletproof cars if looked after.

Good luck!
