Hi, i have a 2003 WRX which has been fully decatted plus green panel filter and im going to book it for a ecutek remap. Now i want to aim for around 280BHP and would like to know if its worth fitting a prodrive 3port solenoid and a STI topmount? i want to maximise what i can get with out going for a bigger turbo. any help would be appreciated

any gains will be small, and tbh prob not worth the cost. bigger turbo, injectors and fuel pump will be your next power move, prob also a front mount then remap to suit

so there's no need for the STI topmount then but will the 3port help with getting a finer tuned map and holding boost better? because i have a prodrive one laying around.

An STI top mount will help cool the charge better and give you slightly better performance, but it will be marginal.
For std road use what you have done with a remap should give you around 270-280bhp assuming everything in your engine is fine and dandy.
I don't see the need for a 3 port solenoid - the TD04 is pretty asthmatic anyway at the top end so forcing it to hold on to boost for longer and blowing hot air will probably produce less power than running lower boost.
Definitely needs remapping though to keep it safe
A VF34/35/43 would be good for another possible 40 - 50hp on top of that with bigger injectors (and fuel pump for safety) - at that stage it would be worth putting the STi top mount on.

mines running 281 as well. sport cat straight through centre and rear box, cold air kit, fuel pump(just to be safe) and re map. fitted a big intercooler and it made a big difference imo

Similar to the 2 above I did this with my MY03 PPP Stealth Wagon which will give you an idea of what results you may get.
Hayward & Scott 100 cell high flow down pipe (only 2 BHP loss over decat pipe & MOT friendly)

H&S Up pipe

H&S Centre pipe straight through
![](http://www.haywardandscott.com/shop/cw2/Assets/product_full/classic_centrepipe.jpg)
I already had the short centre section from the PPP & changed the PPP Backbox to a Blitz NUR Spec S

Followed by a Tek3 re-map with Pat Herborn to get everything flowing nicely.
290bhp up from 252bhp
275lbft up from 263lbft
Boost 1.3bar up from 1.2bar.

I run an STi8 top mount & ZeroSport air flow splitter in the STi type bonnet scoop to do the most I can to keep charge temps down. Every little helps.![Thumb](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif)

hey thanks for the info, ive just picked up the car and its been very well looked after from that side of things. i think the intercooler may be worthwhile then if i find one at a good price- helping keep temps down aint a bad thing! after all it was put on the sti for a reason! what about the fuel pumpo though?
