Default air fuel controller with decat?

Im looking to change my exhaust from whats on at the moment to a 3" straight through system including decat down pipe. I have heard that providing you use a boost controller and your air/fuel ratios are ok (I would be using a controller) Is this ok? This would be instead of a remap, Ive poured my cash into the handling/suspension so an apexi is not an option at the moment.

Thoughts?? Anyone running full system without remap. My car is a V4 Type r.

by the time is fitted and set up correctly you may as well pay the extra and have a remap, will get better results and be safer

a air/fuel controller like the apexi will also alter your ignition timing! (on a maf based ecu)
