Injector cleaner additives - any good ?
The small bottles of injector cleaner additives that you can buy from car accessory shops and Halfords---do they work-are they any good ?
If yes then should they
a) be used on a nearly empty tank of fuel in local run around driving-short stints etc, but concentrated
or
b) used in a full tank prior to a long motorway trip, constant flow of fuel over 4/5 hours but well diluted ?
Cheers

You should use them in a full tank, regardless to the amount of driving you are doing as this gives the required concentration, as to whether they work or not, ive always been told not to bother using them, the same as oil flush, as the sh**e has to go somewhere and the compression chamber isnt the best place for it to go.
would be happy if someone could prove me wrong on this and i'll go out and get some!

I cant find it now but i read on another forum about a bloke that works at a car chemical producer, they made injector cleaner too. The main ingredient is Parafine and this guy said for a full tank of petrol he uses 250ml of Parafine ONLY. He said the rest of the ingredients used are almost useless and not worth the cost.
