Angry Oil Consumption

Hi all .
New to this forum , and would like to hear from anybody that has thoughts about my question.
I have a full forged Cosworth Lump in my Scooby , with a Gt30 turbo and front Intercooler , and many other minor mods.
My question is , oil consumption? what is the permmited amout that you would recomend. I think that I have a higher oil consumption than I should have .The oil use is highter when the car is used around town and becomes much less on longer motorway use.
I have been told that the oil use is fine for this type of engine ,however, I think about 2liters of oil for say 600-700 miles is a bit much and can get a bit expensive to say the least.
adding a catch can ha sbeen a suprise not so much the oil collected but the amout of water in the can ? good to see that it is now out of harms way.
One last thing I have lots of small black spots on teh back of the boot lid ? I have had these since owning the car and never stop being there even after a remap or long journeys, not only is this unsightly , but come the joy of washing the car I end up having to polish the back of the car , even though the rest of the car is fine.
What ever car wash I use it never removes the slightly oily- sooty grime away , you can feel it drag on the sponge as you wash , so any thoughts on this would be helped.?
Once again I have been told that they ar efrom a fuleing issue ,but howmany remaps do I need? Maybe a move to another mapper ?
sorry to waffle , hope some of you can spread some light on to this new member and maybe some pics of my scooby to follow.

Forged pistons run slightly greater ring clearances as the piston is designed to expand to the correct size when up to temp. So more oil is lost between start up and normal operating temp, than compared to an angine with non-forged pistons.

But saying that, that oil consumption is waaay high IMO - 2L in 600-700m can't be 'normal'!!! At the very worst, I'd say an acceptable amount would be c.0.5L in 1000m (possibly upto 1L/1000m).

subaru say 1 litre of oil per 1000 miles is acceptable, i can only say that the bore clearance to the piston is too great.
