Vaccum Hose-Where Did It Go
Hi all iv got a problem, iv got a 98 sti 2.0. only had the car 5 minutes and iv clocked a vaccum hose not connected, it had a bolt screwed in "was idling funny" iv removed the bolt and runs fine but the vaccum hose obviously has to go somewhere, its to the right of the inlet manifold and as you look down on the engine it sits inbetween the two right ht leads, but goes nowhere, where should this be going to, please help, cheers

I dont no, i found the hose hanging down the side of the engine, one end attached to the inlet and the other had a bolt in it, it was idling funny and in the process of checking the hoses for gaps, cuts etc i came acros the hose, out of cuiousety i took the bolt out and th rev range leveled out, but it must go somewhere, just tryin to find out where. So far not so good.

If you look on the picture i put up, iv circled the hose in question in red, its sitting below the two ht leads, seen when you look down on the engine from above. Comes from the inlet and goes nowhere. I have looked around but cant see anywhere it should go, if i put put my finger over ther end of the hose, the idling of the engine deteriorrates and i get suction on my figer tip. But where should it be connected to? i have looked at other pics of engines and the hose seems to trail down the back of the engine under the intercooler "but limited view from thereon" the only other hose coming from the inlet is going to the blow off valve, that i can see!

Hmmm, the other one to the left that comes from the solenoid used to go in the inlet where the blow off valve is now plumbed into. Unfortunately i bought the car off a guy who had just spent almost £3k having a new engine put in, i wont name company names but unfortunately it was left how you see it now due to bad workmanship.
So where should the hose in question "right side" go to now? if i plug it up t idles all over the place, should it be "T" pieced into another hose somewhere to circulate?

The right hose needs to go to the dumpvalve and the left hose wants plugging back in where the blue hose is now. They both go to the same place so dont see the point of having them how they are now.
