Question Genuine or copy fuel filter?

I rang my local dealer today and was told the price of the under bonnet fuel filter part number 42072AA011 was £30.33 inc VAT. There are plenty of cheap copies on the net, should I stick with a genuine part or risk a copy at a fraction of the price?

Thanks,

Andy.

Stick to genuine parts m8.

Give tim at Scooby Parts a ring, think they are just over £20.

Scoobyparts site is a bit confusing as it says copy part but seems to quote genuine part price. I'm sure originally he listed both and gave you the option.

just bought one from camskill for under a tenner. Never paid for genuine service parts, never had a single problem.

I think you may be refering to the OIL filter?

I'm using an after-market item (Blueprint) No problem.
