HELP HELP HELP WITH ALARM
#2
It's probably because your CAPS LOCK function is on. Switch it off and the alarm will work fine.

Possibly a silly question, but have you checked that the alarm actually works - and goes off if you open a door, or move around inside, once it's fully set?
There appear to be two separate issues here, and it'd be easier to help you if you told us what sort of alarm you were talking about. If it's the standard UKDM fit Sigma M30, the arm/disarm tones can be switched on and off in the alarm's configuration. You can turn these on via the keypad - the method for doing this has been covered here a few times before so click the Search button.
The indicators should flash on arm/disarm/alarm activation. If they don't, the first thing for you to check would be that the alarm's indicator supply is receiving power. It should be connected to a permanent 12v circuit and fused at 15 amps. Could be that this fuse has gone. Could be that you have a break in the loom somewhere.
Like I said, if you want more specific help, the first thing you need to tell us is what sort of alarm you've actually got. Even then though our ability to diagnose possibly complex electrical issues is very limited. You really need to get it looked at by someone who knows what they're looking at.
