Question Engine management light worries

I fitted a non branded turbo back exhaust (no cat) on friday night, on saturday night after some "spirited" driving the engine management light came on and has stayed on since.

Obviously the ideal fix would be to get the car remapped to work with the exhaust but this won't happen as i'm waiting on some more modifications to go on first.

Should i be worried about the management light? Is there potential for this to **** up my engine?
Hopefully not, as if this is the case i will have to re-fit the old quiet exhaust
Any advice is appreciated....

CEL is the Check Engine Light. Assuming you have a Newage vehicle, the decat would have caused the light to come on. I think its a simple plug resistor to fix the CEL, if newage. If a classic Impreza, then I doubt it would be related.

Its always best to mention what car/year/model you have when asking for advice.

Yeah fair one, tis a '53 plate WRX.

So there's nothing inherently wrong with the car just the fact the emissions are making the lambada sensor flid out?
Where do i attach said plug resistor to fix the light?

WRX is okay without re-map , lamba sensor is in the collector pipe before up-pipe it will be the cat on fire sensor bringing up the cell light think you can get a resistor to plug in off e-bay or get it mapped out
STI must be re-mapped for a decat .
