What are the advantages of having an alloy rad?
I have an alloy rad and I'm debating whether to fit it to MY94 WRX. The car is a daily drive so I was wondering whether there would be any advantages of having it.
The temp is pretty steady on the FC commander at 88~92 with the standard rad. Even after a bit of a thrashing the temp stays around there.
Is it worth fitting?

Yes, worth fitting cause it adds under bonnet bling
...since fitting my koyo ally rad, my water temp now sits a little under half way... I think its worth fitting to older cars cause the OE item would probably crack and leak due to old age... thats why I changed mine cause it was fatiguing.

If you have it why not fit it?
The fans might be a tight fit if the rad is thicker than the OE one.
A few OE rads have gotten cracks in the plastic ends. This is hardly a common thing but I know of a few.
