Anyone running a quietish 3" de-cat????
Can anyone help?
I've recently bought a 96 sti with a full 3" de-cat system (unknown manufacturer) running almost 400bhp. Car is great but too loud. Had a track day cut short recently because I exceeded the noise. On the static test at 4500 rpm it was 101 db!
Does anyone have figures for their cars so I can compare them. There doesn't seem to be many options for 3" systems. Mine is a true 3" not tapered back to 2.5" at the flanges. I'd like to just put a tamer back box on but don't know what to go for?
Thanks

3" APS de-cat on mine and I easily passed at Cadwell Park, can't remember the numbers now, but it was at least 2 dB below the test limit.
