Default MY94 WRX Diagnostics test????

Hello again everyone.

1 more question and please excuse my lack of knowledge, but am still new to the scoobies!!

Does anyone know if you can perform a CEL on board diagnostics test? Do the 94 wrx's have the read memory connectors and test mode connectors??? If they do, where might I find the little buggers?? Or is it only the later wrx's that have these connectors??

I have a MY94 WRX (right hand drive).

Thanks in advance

Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | Scoobypedia / Scoobypedia look under the 'ECU' heading.
They may be hard to find as if they haven't be used before they will be taped up and a bugger to find

Default MY94 WRX diagnostic test...

Your right, they were a bugger to find...!!!! But I found them. I just did the test and got codes....

23 : MAF sensor

45 : MAP sensor.

I did a couple of tests on the MAF by disconnecting while the car was running and it stalled, therefore I assumed it was working ok. Would disconnecting it have given the fault code?

The MAP sensor, I have a fuel cut defender plumbed into the vacuum line. Would that make the MAP sensor give an error code and play up??

Confused!!

Read codes, then reset ECU, and re-check codes to be sure. If the same codes are given find replacement items and try again. Any of these two problems could cause the running issues you mentioned in the other thread.
