Default engine mount bolt !

hi, almost got the engine out to day but that last bolt , it one of the engine mount ones's and its completely rounded i tried hammering on a 13mm socket but it wasnt for going on, any ideas on what i could do would really help as i borrowed the straps to lift the engine out off my mate and i need to get them back to him by sunday

the engine mount is a 14m nut not bolt . just get a sharp chisel and split it .

Or use a proper nut splitter as i have damaged the stud in the mount before using a cold chisel.

ok ive got all the nuts and bolts off now and ive removed the plug from the bellhousing and the retaining sleeve but they still wont seperate?

Errrr, when you say plug on bellhousing i'm assuming you haven't removed the pin from behind the plug?

if not use a M6 bolt with a 1mm thread pitch and screw it into the pin behind the bellhouse plug and begin to wiggle the pin out, if it's not rusted it should come out or alternatively use some vice grips on the bolt.....DO NOT snap the bolt in the pin otherwise you will be in svere ****e!

I'll take a picture for you right now and post it up.

Did you remove this???>>>



If you did then it's probably just the locating pins holding the box and engine together and will need prying out. But ensure that all your bolts are removed for definite.

ye took the pin out and did all that then just gave it hell with a hammer and chizel got het out now thanks for all the help guys

Well done mate, it was the 2 locating pins doing their job then hehe.
