Probably best not to. Plus dont see much point fitting them if your running standard map for "the time being". I'd get all your mods together, fit 'em all then go get remap. Ideally you dont wanna drive too far, especailly fast n hard, with all your mods B4 remap. If it were me I'd stick it on a trailer or flat bed and take it to mappers if you have to go sum distance.

A good mod to start with is hi-flow panel air filter or induction kit and a decat or sports cat exhaust system. This will see you good B4 other mod parts and remap.

I don't believe it will "go bang" but you're likely to encounter the engine overfueling badly until yu get it remapped. Injectors are typically fitted just prior to, or at the point of a remap.
I doubt you'd havee to trailer it, but just be sensible if you're fitting them just prior to the remap. Ask Simon (Jolly Green Monster) for a definitive answer.

you will be able to run the car off boost as the ECU will be in closed loop mode and will adjust fuel etc "on the fly" for max economy LOL

As soon as you put your foot down the ECU will forget about economy and look at the ECU tables it has for max power and think it's talking to your old injectors...... way too much fuel

I'd personally pick a local mapper / specialist and take it from there

Does anyone know what the std WRX injectors are rated at ?

As the ecu can compensate for around 15% increase, with few problems.

I did read a thread on here somewhere where a guy was complaining that his car was running very badly and it turned out he'd fitted the injectors and been driving the car for a few weeks without getting a remap - the injectors were the cause of the poor running.

What Shaun says defo makes sense!
