Default 00 Turbo 2000 intercooler refurb HELP

He guys ive removed the top mount intercooler with the intention of refurbing it. Its painted black i was going to strip this off and polish it, however the core is black and quite a few of the fins are bent. To be honest ive found these quiet had to straighten and am considering putting a very light gauge mesh over the top of it to prevent any more of them getting bent and to tidy it up a touch.

I just wanted to know if anyone else had done anything similar to this and if so how and do you have any pics of the finished product.

Regards joe

You'll bend more of the fins tryin to pollish it!! I wouldn't bother. If you want a quick result then wash off grease and smeg with brake cleaner or petrol (HIGHLY FLAMABLE!!) leave to dry or blow dry with compressed air then get some alu-chrome paint and give it a light dusting as not to block the air flow. Quick, cheap, easy and effective!!

Or just buy a ready pollished TMIC of ebay or sumink.
