Hi everyone Iam posting this on behalf of a mate that has no internet access. He has got a 97 subaru catalunya that he is having trouble with trying to start the car. He says he has to keep turning the car over and hitting the the gas befour it starts. He says the car only started doing this since he changed the fuel filter. The car is 100% standard and had new plugs not so long. I will try find out any more info if needed. Thnx guys

If the problem only happened after fitting the fuel filter, i would look there first.
Also check the ECU for any fault codes stored in it - might narrow it down to a crank sensor,coolant temp sensor etc etc.

Ta for reply. Been chattin the night to him again he says its fine when warm but if left couple of hours it hard to start. Says aswell if u floor it she sumtimes misses aswell.
