Default EVAP Carbon canister error 35

Just recently removed an "ebay special" chip from my 7D ecu on my 93 classic wrx import as it was chucking loads of error codes at me and going into limp home mode when I accelerated hard. Anyway got the standard map now and car is running fine, although the ebay chip did make it quicker it also had a tendancy to limit my revs to 4.5k mid manouver.
All the old error codes have gone but code 35 has now popped up pointing towards the Carbon Canister purge valve. I have followed the piping to and from the canister and can't find any sort of solonoid or sensor which might be causing the problem. Is it possible that my car didn't originally come with the solonoid and that is casuing the error, I only say this as I think the ecu in mine isn't the standard one as the 7D normally came in the Australian/Euro models.
Anyone able to shed some light on this?!

Cheers

Stu

I've heard the Z4 ecu is the best one, is there any specific reason for choosing that one. I'm aware my current ecu is seriously limiting my cars power?!

1st 3 are rated at 240ps the z4 is rated at 260ps (better fuel map and slightly more boost and keeps the higher boost till redline).

The 6k ecu is an option but when i put mine in the car i got a fault code and odd boosting problem but i know some people have put one in and it's been fine.

Don't pay more than about £60-£70ish imo i bought mine for £75 about 4 years ago and don't let anyone convince you they are rare as adverts on a certain internet auction site tell you

Yeah I was looking around the £70, theres actually none for sale on a certain auction site so I'll check on here!

Don't suppose you know what equipment is needed to remap a chip, I have the one which I've just taken out. My mate has a rolling road and currently remaps GTR's, he said he could do mine with a Power FC but just wondered if there is any Hardware/Software to remap a chip?

tbh you would be better off with the power fc.
Not sure about remapping chips as there are normally just a generic map so once the map is on it it can't be changed (i may be wrong though).
Speak to Scott T at PolarPerformance as he can supply generic chips (do a search on here for the amount of people who use them) and could possibly help you.
