Default rough running up to 3000 revs

Hi new user here.
I have a legacy outback 99 2.5 manual and it is running rough. I will be a breif as i can with what has gone on.
I blew a cam seal and had it replaced. timing belt done at same time.
on restart it was lumpy and will not pull at all till you get to 3000 revs it then takes off all be it not quite as smooth as was but the powwer is there.
i have changed the following;
coils
leads
plugs
maf
i have also checked for blocked cat.
my compression is at 125 on all cylinders
ran a fuel system cleaner through with no result.
Can anyone offer any advice please.

If its the same as an impreza leaving the battery disconnected for a period of time will do it.

If you did the cambelt (and if it has one) have you checked the cam position sensor is connected up alright and adjusted correctly?

the ecu repair lasted about 5 mins and back to spluttering. i have now done an engine flush as someone said poss sticky valve but no good. i have just replaced the lambda sensor with no result either, the old one was very white so running lean, i unplugged the lambda and drove for a couple of miles and no engine check light, is this normal or is my ecu gubbed?

The Check Light will go out after a few drive cycles, The car finally realised the O2 Sensor was missing, It will do the same now it is back....

Are you definately sure you have no Vacuum/induction leaks after the Maf sensor ..

i am sure i have no leaks after the maf sensor. is it poss it is a bent valve or would the compression be down noticably on the cilynder affected? is it poss that my lambda was faulty and not reporting to ecu and that the new one is, and is now showing a fault at some other area of the engine?
