Default sti top mount

hi all,i have a sti 8 intercooler to go on my my99 classic! i have a dump valve on the standard intercooler but this will not fit the sti one! will i just need to buy a newage dumpvalve to fit the intercooler as space looks a little tight to the colipack! i looked at the guide on here but that uses the standard sti recerc valve?

cheers

Newage dumpvalve does fit with a little bit of fiddling. Easiest option is to cut the coilpack mount pillars a bit so it sits lower. From what I recall there's a good quarter inch or so that can come off. You'll probably have to drill and tap the holes a little bit deeper, which is easy enough, just make sure you don't go too far and drill down all the way through into the plenum!

going off topic a little now but im also fitting an sti8 tmic and will need to buy a bov but i keep reading that there no good for the engine, but i like the woosh sound to much to just give it up. can you get recirculating bov that still make the woosh sound or is it nothing to worry about

I'm a bit confused by the logic here. Why are you replacing the standard intercooler with the STi8 one?

I think you will need a section of rubber return pipe as the oe one won't fit as the d/v outlet is on the opposite side. 35mm dia.
