Over fuel MAF or Lambda
Hi All
I had my 02 wrx on the rollers yesterday and found it was over fueling off the scale (boost was down a bit but I think I know what that was - quite hot and wrong orafice in manifold line).
Recentely the fuel ecconomy has been pretty crappy, I've smelt fuel in the mornings and a tiny bit of hesitation (subjective).
So MAF or Lambda, what do you think?
The car has the gems piggyback PPP, so it doesn't change the fueling only acts as a rev controlled boost clamp. Remap is not an option.
Cheers
Rich

standard exhaust or decatted?
it is off the scale as the fuelling is standard.. they do that.. rempa would sort that part..
the smell of fuel is probably unrelated to the off the scale, unlikely but possible to be lambda
very much doubt it is maf as they are robust on 01 on.

Thanks for the reply Simon.
The exhaust is as per the PPP without the 3rd cat, then 2.5" going to 3" into the back box. I haven't had a CEL come up either and the fuel ecconomy defintely has recently gotton worse. It was run on Scoobyworks rollers yesterday with Club LJP (a couple of memebers you will know, Rob & Wolfie).
