Doing some research on the forum and trying to work out an entry level exhuast mod. I'd really like to loose the pea shooters on my 05 WRX Wagon and put somthing like a Prodrive Back Box on. I want subtle so thought Prodrive oval tailpipe looked good.
Questions;
- what should I pay for a second hand one ?
- what other parts do I need to fit it to the existing system
- do i need to modify anything else (I keep reading about remaps)
- would a Prodrive back box affect performance/emmissions ?
Thanks for any advice!

Prodrive straight fit, even ones for classics fit a newage, just a different rear hanger.
If you look on ebay or here prices go from £50 to £150 (last year!!!) depends on condition.
Might need a new gasket if the old one is a bit tired, £6-£10 depending on source.
You don't need a remap for a back box.
With a panel filter and prodrive bb I had an extra 8 bhp & 8 ft-lb. Emmissions no worries.
Good hunting!!

Hayward & scott japstyle nice but a bit ott for me at this stage. I'll wait until I slip further into the mods and go for the full conversion for that. Looks like I have a couple of options at £80, but nothing local yet! Courier is £20 so if I can find one that gets to me for less than that and in good condition I'm interested. Sticking to Prodrive at the moment.
