Default Hybrid FMIC - noises/boost

Hi all , i have recently fitted a Hybrid FMIC into my 95wrx, very pleased with the kit and how car goes now , not too much lag , have only just got round to driving the car and testing it , it goes really well , just its making like a whooshing noise on boost , all the clips are tight so don't think its leaking boost , just wanted to know if this is normal and if i did have a boost leak would it still hold around 17/18 psi boost , as that's what my gauge is showing also boost has gone up from 16.5 psi ( running PP chip) to around 18 psi , do you think i should adjust the actuator to turn it down a bit or will my car adjust fueling to suit , cheers

FMIC = Induction kit. Are you not just hearing the air being sucked through the filter and being paranoid?

1) As you`ve added an Induction kit then the noise you`re hearing is the air being sucked in. Nothing to worry about.

2) You should really get your MAP tweaked to get the most out of your new setup, and to avoid any poor running issues

3) Air feed to the induction kit is still required.

4) Increase in boost is normal, only a small increase though.

Hope this helps you.

I'm getting a remap soon when i get some better injectors , but for now I'm running the pp chip , just wanted to make sure that the noises were normal for a FMIC set up which it sounds like it is , so as long as it doesn't hit overboost , do you think i should leave it alone and not turn it down , cheers
